Each person is given a choice, and it’s up to us which to choose. We are born with unique characteristics and we should be proud of it. According to the Bible, God created a male and a female, but maybe because of the changing environment, people have also changed. Since 1980, LGB has already started and it is already the 20th century. Maybe each of us needs to learn acceptance. Many countries are already learning to acknowledge lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. But even with this behavior, LGBT people should control themselves. Not because the government and the citizens have accepted them, they would feel carefree. Still, as a person we should learn how to respect other people for them to respect us. Most of all, respect ourselves.
Everyone has a right to follow what our heart says and what we think we should do. Because of this freedom, we also have a responsibility to the people around us. The problem isn’t having interest like your opposite sex. It is the attitude of being selfish and being self-centered. In every action, we should think of the effect to our surroundings. Are we a help or a distraction?
Many issues arise about the criticism to these people. Aside from the religious point of view, it may also be the experience that marked on the mind of many people. A few years ago, the people who have 3rd sex might have exceeded their limits. And as of now it continuously happens. In the streets, in the bars, and in other places, I have noticed a lot of dirty actions and appearance from this group of people. As a child, these impressions already are imprinted in my mind. Malicious, improper, bad – these words are what I can say. Then, add the stories and impressions from other people. What do you think is the result? Of course it’s the negative reaction. And once a person experienced that, it would never be erased.
Some of the LGBT people have practiced a silent and normal life. This is because of the ability to control themselves. The malicious and improper acts could be avoided. Temptation might come and attract anyone, but we have the choice to deny it. Anyone could experience a happy life. Make the best out of what you have. We do not have to expose ourselves, become unrighteous and be a distraction to others just to get attention and feel complete.
If every LGBT people have learned to value their life, it would not be a mess. Happiness, acceptance and fulfillment could be experienced. Even because of the difference, they could blend to every people. There is nothing wrong in following your heart, but be responsible of every move you make. Right attitude and behavior could be the bridge between the gaps in our society.
